These tips are used to cover the sharp, cut ends of the spiral steel boning. The caps or UTips are made from aluminium, they are strong but also soft enough to easily crimp over the ends of the boning.

Vario Pliers and a Pair of bone-capping die (both sold separately) make attaching tips to spiral steel boning fast and easy. We recommend that you only use aluminium caps when using the Bone tipping Die as steel or zinc will not work as well and may damage your Die.
